Photos of Pearl, NSFW

I did not watch the debates last night. There was a crisis outside Raccoon City and my unique skill set was needed to combat the Umbrella Corporation.  However, from what I’ve gathered through Twitter and NPR, it sounds like Romney won and that he’s also gunning for PBS as one of the ways to fix the national debt.  If I may, and I’m no economist, but PBS gets about $450 million per year from the government.  While that sounds like a lot to someone like me with student loans looming over their head, it’s really not that much money.  For instance, every day the war in Afghanistan costs $165 million.   Two national conventions, one for the donkey, one for the elephant, tally in at around 136 million.  I’m not trying to sound like a communist, but, you know, maybe we should fight fewer wars and stop throwing parties for rich old guys.  Just a thought.  Also, if you’re the kind of rich guy that can subtract $76,000 in tax deductions just for your olympic horse, then maybe you’d better leave Big Bird alone.

Enough politics!  Here’s a photo set of my good buddy, Pearl.  You can follow her on Tumblr here.

Pearl’s feet are not really this big.

I really love shooting people in their own environment.  It’s easier for people to relax, clothing options are right at hand, but most importantly, everyone’s place tell it’s own story.  It adds an element of honesty and intimacy that I think translates really well.  There’s also a nerd-factor of figuring out how to either work with the available light or how to manipulate it with strobes.

Lolita glasses, FTW.

You guys enjoy your weekend!

Also, I’ve moved the zines over to Etsy.  Pop over and check them out.
