Form, Color, and Dirt–Photos From the Repair Shop.
Earlier this week I was asked to take some photos of an auto garage for their website. This isn’t my normal kind of gig, but I found myself really interested in the formal relationships, the colors, the textures, and of course, the dirt and grit.
The owner asked for images that personalized his shop as opposed to images that strictly described the auto-repair industry. I’m always excited to get this kind of creative latitude with assignments and really try to approach it as if all of the shots are portraits.
Here are a few of the shots I came up with. Click to make more bigger. Enjoy your weekend.

Nice shots. The photos do make the shop more personal with a story to tell.
Wonderful photos!! You have a keen eye for the beauty possible in mundane detail.
